Well, once again my friend and guide Silas has rendered me speechless with his latest request to put ourselves on the worldwide web! What for? I said, to reach the people was his reply. We need to inform the people that there is a different way to deal with things than the tools they use at present. Using the net, we can provide them with comfort and insight. Yes I replied but you are a scholar and philosopher and not a medium in the accepted sense of giving people messages from their loved ones. I know that he replied but what we can give the people is insights into the way of life as it is practiced in the Spirit World and words of comfort to the bereaved and grieving and isn't that just as worthwhile? It will also be useful to address any queries and comments that arise from the books and will make us more available to people. When he had left me and I had the time to think about it I realized that (as usual!) he was absolutely right. To do our job you have to have a genuine love of people and a desire to help them and the way to do that was as he said to make ourselves available to them. Otherwise you are offering your opinions via the teachings but you have no way of fostering a burgeoning interest or hearing their opinion on what you have written which makes our lifestyle too one sided. And so it was once again that my slightly impatient but infinitely loveable guide prevailed on me (with the help of others to who I am forever grateful!) to open this website. His input was considered at each stage in fact, he even named the site for once the idea had taken hold Colin and I sat down one night to try to think up a name for it, we had a great time as each name suggested gave rise to hilarity and as time went on ranged from the sublime to the ridiculous until Colin came up with the name Spiritual Arousal at which point I heard a sound which ranged from a cough to a snort in my ear and the now familiar voice said I am NOT having that it suggests a site of a sexual nature whilst our lifestyle here is one of infinite love for our fellow man we simply do not have a need for that sort of thing. It was getting late and I was getting tired and cranky and so I said well! If you think you can do better I suggest you have a go to which he replied Simple! As we are now beginning to channel in speech why don’t we call it Spiritual speak-easy and promptly left us again once more rendering me speechless! The more Colin and I thought about it the more we liked the name and so it was that this site came into being. I do hope you will find the time to visit it and that we can be of service to you in some small way. Many Blessings, Eileen.
